Upon the invitation from Poverty Alleviation Office, Supervision Bureau of Guangzhou Commission for Discipline Inspection, United Lab, together with the 2nd Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, came to Boluokeng village, Dazhan town, Yingde city on July 20 to start a voluntary diagnosis and give drugs for targeted poverty alleviation. The village committee received a donation of drug worth RMB 31,000.
Boluokeng village is a province-nominated poverty village that receives the leading support from the Supervision Bureau of Guangzhou Commission for Discipline Inspection. United Lab’s vice-president Gao Hongxing, after learning the news from the Bureau, gave immediate consent to targeted poverty alleviation. A preliminary decision was made about a voluntary diagnosis and drug donation once a quarter, insulins distribution for diabetics, and regular procurement of a batch of products from the village’s vegetable base. These fundamental supporting measures are expected to increase the villagers’ confidence in getting rid of their poverty.
The expert team in this activity was led by United Lab’s vice-president Gao Hongxing. Zhang Ming, president of the 2nd Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, set up a team consisting of chief physicians and professors from Endocrinology, Ophthalmology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Urological Surgery and Cardiology. This is United Lab’s first step to respond to the call of the Party and government and assist the Bureau in helping Boluokeng village with the targeted poverty alleviation. By taking concrete actions, United Lab is helping Boluokeng village, Dazhan town, Yingde city get rid of poverty and making its part of contribution to villagers’ physical health.
Participants of this activity also include Cao Xiang, deputy director of General Office, Guangzhou Commission for Discipline Inspection, Zhu Longbiao, standing committee member and secretary of Commission for Discipline Inspection of Yingde City and Liu Jianyong, deputy secretary of Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and director general of Supervision Bureau.
